ne of the best things about living in Asia is picking up the local paper and reading something new (and weird).  Maybe that's why they call it the news? 

For me, it's so much more refreshing to read about fish sauce foibles and other Asian anomalies than the incessant chant of politics or that old ghost Osama.  Herein lay my ever growing collection of hand picks torn from local coffee shop papers--yes, that was me who left you without that entire corner of In Brief.  Oops, My bad J
